Automotive Infotainment Tester
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Infotainment Tester to support end-to-end validation of infotainment features in modern vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing in-vehicle and bench testing, executing test plans, analysing requirements, logging defects, and collaborating closely with development teams. This is an onsite role in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
Execute test plans for infotainment features including media, radio, navigation, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
Perform in-vehicle and bench testing across multiple infotainment domains.
Conduct functional, sanity, smoke, regression, and negative/corner-case testing.
Log and track defects using JIRA or Bugzilla and participate in triage meetings.
Analyse system requirements and develop/maintain test cases with traceability.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and validate fixes.
Prepare and deliver test status reports; participate in Agile daily stand-ups.
Technical Skills
Automotive protocols: CAN, LIN, MOST, UDS; knowledge of DTC, PID, DID.
Infotainment domains: Navigation, Media (USB/AUX/SD/Radio), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Voice Recognition, Telematics (SOS/ADAS/RVC), HVAC.
Tools: Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, diagnostic and logging tools.
Platforms: Android/Linux, Embedded OS, CarPlay, Android Auto.
Scripting & Development: C/C++, CAPL, Python for automation.
Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3 5 years of experience in automotive infotainment testing.
Strong understanding of vehicle architecture and ECUs.
Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) processes.
Awareness of ASPICE, ASIL-B, OTA update concepts.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Proficient with Ubuntu, Linux, Windows, and RTOS environments.
