Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction

Innovar Group is supporting a Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction opportunity with a well-established construction organization in the Denver area. This role is ideal for a senior electrical construction leader who can manage complex projects from preconstruction through closeout while overseeing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, field teams, documentation, and client expectations.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating assigned electrical construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This person will lead project administration, financial performance, procurement, labor planning, change orders, billing, and project closeout.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day project operations for assigned electrical construction projects.
- Oversee project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field labor to ensure successful execution.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cost control, labor productivity, and financial performance.
- Lead project turnover meetings, staff meetings, and ongoing project coordination.
- Review, finalize, and distribute project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure permits, licenses, submittals, logs, contracts, and required project documentation are completed and maintained.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment to support project schedules and budget goals.
- Negotiate, prepare, process, and manage subcontract agreements.
- Develop billing schedules of values and support progress billing, retention, and payment collection.
- Price, negotiate, and process change conditions and change orders.
- Review, approve, and process subcontractor and supplier invoices.
- Monitor project staffing needs, labor resource loading, productivity, and field force planning.
- Support project closeout, documentation, and final financial reconciliation.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, accountability, and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- 10 years of relevant electrical construction, project management, or related construction leadership experience.
- Strong background managing electrical construction projects, preferably in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or complex construction environments.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, procurement, billing, and closeout.
- Proven ability to lead project teams, subcontractors, field personnel, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, submittals, permits, schedules of values, and contract administration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and financial accountability.
- Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- OSHA 30 or strong working knowledge of construction safety practices preferred.
Nice to Have
- Electrical contracting experience in large commercial or industrial environments.
- Experience with fabrication, prefabrication, or design-build project delivery.
- Experience managing large-scale or multi-phase construction projects.
- Background working with mission-critical, data center, manufacturing, healthcare, or high-complexity facilities.
