JOB TITLE: Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Dallas, TX (Must be able to work 1 day per week onsite in Dallas, TX, and live in the local area or be willing to relocate.)

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join the team and help secure the extensive 1000-application environment. This highly visible role will focus on the assessment and architecture of their hybrid cloud environment, which is heavily reliant on Azure and Microsoft technologies, with minimal AWS presence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive security expert ready to make an immediate impact within a complex, academic health system.



Job Responsibilities

Perform assessment and architecting duties for the organization's hybrid cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Develop and implement cloud security encryption strategies for the cloud architecture.

Contribute to the security roadmap in a large-scale, 1000-application (mostly SaaS) environment.

Collaborate with the CISO, lead security engineers, and the cloud/architecture teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all cloud deployments.



Qualifications

Bachelor s degree and relevant security certifications are required.

Demonstrated experience in architecture and design of secure cloud solutions.

Expertise in a hybrid cloud environment, with a strong preference for Azure and Microsoft security technologies.

Familiarity with addressing cloud security questions, such as encryption methods for cloud architecture.

Experience in health systems or academic security environments is a significant plus.
