Position: IBM GDPS IT Management Consultant (IBM Z & Storage)
Location: Remote but willingness to travel up to 20%
Duration: 3-6 Months

Job Description

We are seeking a Junior-Level IBM GDPS IT Management Consultant to support pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales engagements for IBM GDPS resiliency solutions. This role focuses on IBM Z systems and storage replication technologies, working closely with clients, IBM Sales, and partners to ensure successful solution delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-sales and post-sales engagements around IBM GDPS solutions.

  • Configure and customize GDPS capabilities across z/OS, LPARs, and Parallel Sysplex environments.

  • Deliver automation solutions using NetView, REXX, and JCL, and provide client training and workshops.

  • Implement and support storage and replication solutions on IBM DS8000 series, Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, and FlashCopy.

  • Collaborate with IBM Sales teams, business partners, and customer stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong technical background in IBM Z Systems, Storage, Replication, and Automation.

  • Hands-on knowledge of z/OS High Availability, Parallel Sysplex, DFSMS, Tivoli System Automation (SA z/OS), and NetView.

  • Experience delivering client-facing consulting engagements, including training, workshops, and documentation.

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, systems architecture, or IBM Z-related projects.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with z/VM, Linux on IBM Z Systems, and InfoSphere Replication Server.
