Description

SAIC is seeking an exceptional individual to support the Air Force's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Sentinel Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. We are seeking a Systems Engineer with a modeling and simulation background and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to work on the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition effort in the DoD with a great company. This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist the United States Air Force manage its internal modeling and simulation efforts for Sentinel program
  • Evaluate the Prime contractor's modeling and simulation data modules
  • Verify the correctness of models
  • Prepare reports for model validation
  • Develop support documents, summaries, reports, presentations and other designated products in support of Government senior leaders

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with 9 years' modeling & simulation experience, or M.S. in a STEM field with 7 years' experience
  • Proactive person with a positive attitude and a "team player" mentality
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work
  • Skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, learning new and exciting concepts, and effectively communicating sophisticated ideas to a variety of partners
  • Must have current Secret security clearance (adjudicated within the past 6 years) or higher
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior military and civilian leaders
  • Experience with agile development
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or JAVA
  • Experience in air vehicle survivability is desired
  • Top Secret security clearance
  • ICBM Weapon System experience
