Role Summary:
The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for aligning high-quality technical solutions with key business strategies and identifying opportunities to solve complex business problems. This role partners closely with business and IT teams across the Bank to assess functionality, costs, benefits, and process improvements of system technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience translating business needs into system requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of system and business processes.
- Lead analysis sessions to document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Partner with architecture and development teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Support feasibility analyses and cost/benefit studies for technical solutions.
- Contribute to a knowledge repository for business analysis.
Skills/Knowledge
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Business analysis certification from IIBA, or equivalent certification from an accredited program, strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in Business Analysis and Planning in a large, regulated financial services company, preferably in a capital market and/or banking/financial services environment.
- Minimum of five years of experience in both vendor-packaged system implementation and custom-developed solutions, with experience involving development, project management, testing and/or quality assurance preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience with multiple aspects of a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or development methodologies/analysis frameworks, specifically SAFe Scaled Agile or Scrum is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to multiple business process areas or work experience across multiple business units (broad experience) highly desired.
- Expertise in industry-standard analysis and requirements elicitation techniques and business analysis practices, with business and general IT fluency required.
- Experience with requirements management, including facilitation of requirements traceability through user acceptance test cycles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability required.
- Strong proficiency using Microsoft office suite required. Microsoft Visio, Confluence, and JIRA preferred. SQL proficiency desired.
