Job Details
Commercial Building Maintenance Technician
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial building maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
- Commercial experience required - no residential/apartment experience.
- Must be able to work On-Call during off-duty hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems in the Bryant Building.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks (filters, lubrication, bearings) and maintain documentation.
- Conduct monthly inspections of life safety equipment (fire extinguishers, emergency/exit lights, fire doors).
- Inspect interior and exterior areas daily; perform minor cleaning when needed.
- Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and support satellite offices.
- Maintain the security access system (programming cards, removing access, generating reports).
- Coordinate and schedule outside contractors for repairs not handled in-house.
- Serve as point of contact for staff in the Koger Center Office Complex.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance and emergency calls as part of On-Call duty.
Skills & Abilities
- Skilled in building trades and mechanical repair.
- Knowledge of maintenance safety procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints and repair electrical/mechanical equipment.
- Able to take accurate measurements, lift up to 50 lbs, and climb for equipment work.
- Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions.
