Job Title: Lawson Developer COBOL/IPA (Finance & Supply Chain)
Location: Remote ( Canada )
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lawson Developer with expertise in Lawson S3 Finance and Supply Chain applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in COBOL (MS-COBOL preferred), SQL proficiency, and Landmark IPA workflow development. This role requires hands-on experience in financial and supply chain integrations, ERP system customization, and production support.


Key Responsibilities:

Development & System Enhancement:

  • Develop and maintain Lawson S3 Finance and Supply Chain applications.
  • Utilize Lawson Development Workbench for coding, compiling, and system enhancements.
  • Implement Landmark IPA workflows to streamline business processes.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data analysis, transformation, and reporting.

ERP & Finance Integration:

  • Ensure smooth integration of financial and supply chain components with other ERP modules (HCM, financial institutions, external vendors, etc.).
  • Participate in Go Live migrations, ensuring seamless transitions.

Production Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide on-call production support, troubleshooting issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members and business users to resolve system errors.
  • Document solutions, ensuring clear communication and traceability.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Maintain high-level confidentiality and data security standards.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years of programming experience, preferably in Lawson Finance ERP.
  • 5+ years of experience in COBOL development (MS-COBOL preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in a Finance ERP environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming for database operations and queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Landmark IPA workflow programming.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and supply chain integrations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
