    Job Description

We are seeking a bioinformatics scientist to work as part of our Predictive Sciences team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This scientist will use computational approaches to explore single-cell and bulk RNAseq data to derive biological insights on tumor microenvironments. These insights will be used to help identify drug targets and patient populations that can guide drug discovery and development decisions.
The position is fully remote. This is a contract position, anticipated to last 6-9 months.

    Responsibilities
Support internal single-cell RNAseq data analysis needs such as data quality review, data integration, and phenotype characterization.
Apply trajectory inference and ligand-receptor analysis on both public and internal single-cell RNAseq data to discover new cancer targets.
Perform data quality control assessment and gene signature analysis on bulk RNAseq data.
Implement computational approaches to integrate multi-omic data to prioritize gene candidates.
Follow best practices for documentation and code sharing.

    Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics or similar fields with 3+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 1+ years of experience.
    Proficient in Python and R.
Strong background in single-cell and bulk RNAseq analysis, experience in Scanpy and Seurat.
Experience with version control tools such as GitHub.
    Good communication skills.
