Job Description

Work with data center staff to get equipment racked, patched and powered per design requirements

Work with production support engineers and vendors on major network outages or particularly obscure network issues to determine root cause and develop resolution

Take inventory existing network technologies

Asist in the installation and test new network technologies, security mechanisms and systems in the context of the networking infrastructure

Analyze project needs/requirements and recommend systems to enhance network redundancy, resiliency, and security

Develop, maintain and communicate project plans and status updates

Report weekly on work activity to the Manager of Network and Telephony

Work closely with Help Desk staff to implement call scripts and provide training of 1st tier support resources

Work with manufacturers, VAR's and internal sourcing teams to scope out specifics of purchases, ensuring best price and vendor support during the procurement process

Responsibilities

Perform configuration, upgrades.

3 - 5+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network routers, switches and firewalls for medium and large size locations and enterprises

CCNA, CCNP certification preferred

Working knowledge of Web Security Systems, Two Factor Authentication, SMTP Gateway servers, Cisco ASA SSL VPN

Ability to support Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN connectivity and Cisco Enterprise Wi-Fi solutions

Working knowledge of Application Load Balancers F5

Experience/knowledge of Cisco Nexus Data Center switching hardware and software - 9k,7K/5K/2K FEX's on NxOS

Experience with VPN/tunneling technologies such as DMVPN, VTI, IPsec and SSL client VPN's

Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills in a multi-vendor environment

Load Balancer's - F5 and other Vendor products

Firewall /Security - Cisco, Palo Alto

Possess system level and network level troubleshooting

Knowledge of L2/L3 technologies-VLANs/VLAN tagging, VTP, Spanning Tree, Etherchannel, portchannel

Experience with physical layer technologies-Gig/10G Ethernet, CAT5/6 cabling, Fiber

BS in engineering field - Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable experience

US: Hiring Range in USD from $30.29 to $60.63 per hour; from: $63,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
