Job Description

Are you a tech savvy team player ready to assist in the success of a growing organization? If so, you might be a good fit for our System Administrator position. We are seeking a creative innovator who is detail-oriented, thorough, and organized to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients with computer, hardware, and software issues, including coordinating on-site technical support with vendors. You will also respond to queries, diagnose, and isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate degree in Information Technology or possess equivalent experience. Work hours may vary. This position has the potential for consistent growth, for the right person.

Primary responsibilities will be:

  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk, escalating tickets when necessary

  • Respond to customer queries by phone, email, and Teams

  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer, operating system, application, printerscannerfax, and basic networking issues

  • Document and reviseenhance internal procedures

  • Perform periodic maintenance tasks on systems, to include software and firmware updates

  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems

  • Assist in hardware and software deployment

  • Other projects as assigned

Position requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated analytical and organization skills, and an interest in problem-solving.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A self-starter that can work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong work ethic that can work well with members of a team

  • Associate degree or better in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or related role

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and other peripherals

  • Working knowledge of Windows 10

  • Working knowledge of common productivity applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat DC)

A working knowledge and some experience with the following are desired but not required:

  • Office 365 administration

  • AWS andor Azure

  • OS X, iOS, and Android

  • PowerShell scripting

  • Networking hardware (firewallssecurity gateways, managed switches, etc.)

  • Incident response

Desired Certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ (must have within six months of employment)

  • Network+

  • Security+

  • CCNA

1-2 Years of help desk experience is helpful. The key skills to bring to this position are the ability to solve problems creatively and troubleshoot under pressure while remaining calm and professional. We are looking for a person with the right mix of technical knowledge, charm, and critical thinking.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
