Position: Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Duration: 6 Months with Extension

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota (Onsite from Day 1)

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Salesforce Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of Salesforce applications through rigorous testing and validation. This role plays a crucial part in identifying issues, improving system performance, and ensuring that new features and enhancements meet user expectations and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of Salesforce features, customizations, and third-party integrations.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and administrators to understand requirements and ensure test coverage for all user stories and enhancements.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
  • Validate changes deployed to Salesforce environments during release cycles and perform smoke testing after deployments.
  • Ensure testing environments are properly configured and maintained in alignment with production systems.
  • Work closely with the release management team to verify and validate releases and patches.
  • Develop automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Provar, or TestComplete (if applicable).
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results and provide test summary reports to stakeholders.
  • Champion QA best practices, contribute to continuous process improvements, and ensure adherence to SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1 2 years in Salesforce application testing.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, standard/custom objects, validation rules, workflow rules, process builder, and flows.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Ability to write clear and concise test plans, cases, and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.

Certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
  • Salesforce Certified Quality Engineer (in beta/early access)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Provar, or Tosca).
  • Knowledge of SOQL/SOSL and basic Apex to support testing.
  • Experience testing Salesforce integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, SAP, Oracle).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Copado.
