Description

Location: Central NJ (Onsite 3 days per week - locations include Newark and other client sites)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced NERC CIP Project Manager to support large IT projects. This role focuses on preparing and overseeing a NERC CIP audit, tracking CIP evidence responses, and ensuring audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience managing security projects, and prior audit experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, and serve as customer interface
  • Track CIP evidence responses and ensure audit readiness
  • Manage technical scope, cost, and schedule of assigned tasks
  • Lead project teams including executives, SMEs, controllers, and schedulers
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Create project management plans, execute governance reviews, and ensure compliance with PMO standards
  • Manage project budget, track actuals vs. plan, and provide monthly forecasts
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal communications including status reports and dashboards
  • Monitor project tasks, timelines, milestones, and quality of deliverables


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • 3+ years managing security projects
  • Previous experience with NERC CIP projects and audits
  • Strong communication skills with senior/executive management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or similar tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or equivalent certification
