Network Administrator - Contract - California, CA - $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Network Administrator in California, CA.
Skills & Requirements
Minimum 6 years, but this is not an entry level position - but ideal would be 8-10 year mark.
Solid understanding of LAN / WAN with Cisco equipment
SD Wan (pref Silverpeak) or other product
Firewall experience (pref Fortinet)
Cisco Certifications
Perform installations - networks, routers, switches, cabling things together, understands how to cable and clean up installations. (if they have tech skills but never done installs, not right profile). Don't need to go to branches all the time but it's an eventuality. Need them to be available and willing to branches to work with equipment, take off racks etc.
Troubleshooting skills independently - not a lone wolf, but able to do things on your own and communicate with team.
Ability to learn on their own, and the willingness / eagerness to learn new products / not someone married to a certain product and a certain way of doing things, yes make recommendations once in place.
Silverpeak experience
Fortinet experience
Fortinet / Silverpeak certs (mega plus) Silverpeak is the major knowledge gap for them right now, they've been filling this slowly but they still have a lot to learn there.
Education - bachelor's in computer science related field.
