UI Developer/ Web Component Developer (Angular/Polymer)- Charlotte, NC- Contract (Remote)
Responsibilities
Create and modify UI components using industry standard libraries Review and test team-contributed updates to the frameworks Support developers implementing components in applications Support deployment of UI frameworks during monthly releases
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Financial experience is preferred. Experience with client facing site is preferred.
Required Skills JavaScript 3-5 years building with frameworks – one or more of jQuery, Angular, React, Vue, ember,UI component builder, Modern ES6 variables 3-5 years writing templates – one or more of lit-html, Polymer, Handlebars, JSX Fluent in:
ES6 or Typescript, DOM traversal and manipulation, XHR / fetch, Event handling, Regular Expressions, Promises, CSS, Media queries, SASS, Variables, Mixins, Tools, Node.js / npm, Webpack, gulp, or grunt, Git / Gitlab and the Gitflow model, Disciplines , Object-oriented and modular development, Familiarity with architectural patterns – MVC or MVVM, Cross-browser / device development discipline, Debugging Coding for performance – async, lazy loading, etc. Coding for section 508 accessibility and screen reader use. Writes high quality, semantic, testable, maintainable, and well documented code
Optional/Nice to Have
WebComponents features experience, Custom elements, Shadow DOM, ES modules, HTML templates, Experience working with 3rd party frameworks or tools – Kendo, PrimeNG, jQuery-UI, Back-end experience – Java, php, ASP.Net, Database experience – MySQL, Mongo, Oracle, SQL Server, Testing tools – Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, HTTP2 protocol, Progressive web apps (PWAs),Familiar with Scrum and Agile methodology, JIRA Practical understanding of continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) process, tools (Jenkins/Gitlab CI), and best practice
