Position Title: Programmer - Consultant

Location: 10311 Wilson Rd, Blythewood, SC 29016
On-site/Hybrid: Initially 100% onsite, hybrid may be possible at clients discretion
Duration: 12 months (possibility for extension)
Pay Rate: $65-70/hr on W2

Projected Start Date: 12/01/2025
Hours/Week: 40
Shift: Day
Interview Process: 2 rounds (in-person preferred, Teams possible)
Residency: Candidate must be a SC resident or willing to relocate/commute prior to start (at their own expense)

Summary of Role

  • SCDMV IT is responsible for maintaining and improving IT functions for the benefit of South Carolina citizens. Contractors play a key part in these operations.

  • The role supports new business functions and enhancements/troubleshooting for existing business application functions using a multi-tiered architecture involving MicroFocus Visual COBOL, .NET (VB.NET, C#.NET), and SQL/Oracle databases.

  • Expect direct communication with business area specialists and minimal supervision.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Analyze SCDMV Phoenix II, web service, and batch business apps.

  2. Lead analysis and troubleshooting of assigned system problems.

  3. Propose solutions.
