Leidos seeks an experienced Senior Manager, Network Architecture to lead a team of engineers and architects supporting NASA's enterprise network and telecommunications environments. This leadership role provides advanced technical oversight, architectural direction, and strategic planning across NASA's Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Mission Network, and Voice Engineering domains.
The selected candidate will lead the Network Architecture Team, responsible for designing, evolving, and optimizing NASA's enterprise network infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security in support of mission success. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to collaborate effectively with NASA senior leadership, program managers, and cross-domain engineering teams.

This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to collaborate effectively with NASA senior leadership, program managers, and cross-domain engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Network Architecture Team, overseeing enterprise LAN, WAN, Mission Network, and Voice system design and integration.
- Define and implement NASA's network architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with mission and cybersecurity requirements.
- Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation point for complex network and telecommunications issues.
- Develop engineering roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and standards for network performance, resilience, and security.
- Partner with NASA and Leidos leadership to develop proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for new and follow-on work.
- Drive architectural innovation through automation, SDN, cloud networking, and mission-enabling technologies.
- Establish design governance processes, including configuration standards, change control, and lifecycle management.
- Mentor engineers, develop training programs, and promote technical excellence within the organization.
- Deliver data-driven briefings and technical recommendations to NASA and Leidos senior management.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise network and telecommunications engineering, including 10+ years in leadership or management roles.
- U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for a NASA or Federal security clearance.
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure and telecommunications projects, including proposal development and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Proven experience managing large-scale, mission-critical LAN/WAN/Voice infrastructures.
- Deep understanding of network architecture, routing/switching, VoIP systems, network security, and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams in complex, high-visibility environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in a government or aerospace environment, particularly with NASA systems
- Industry certifications in networking, eg. Juniper, Cisco CCNA or CCNP
- Familiarity with cloud networking, software-defined networking (SDN), and mission network environments.
- Experience managing geographically distributed engineering teams.
