Position: Technical Solution Architect (MongoDB + AWS)
Location: Remote
Type: Contract

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and optimize MongoDB schemas, collections, indexing, and sharding strategies.
  • Design and implement AWS-based data pipelines using Glue, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EMR, or equivalent.
  • Create robust APIs and backend frameworks enabling data-rich application workflows.
  • Define integration patterns using REST, event-driven messaging, and microservices.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and compliance guidelines.
  • Work in close collaboration with data engineering and application development teams.
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical governance.

Required Skills

  • Deep experience with MongoDB (sharding, indexing, schema modeling).
  • Strong AWS background in data engineering: Glue, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or similar event-streaming tools.
  • Strong understanding of NoSQL vs RDBMS trade-offs.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js, Java, or Python-based solutions.
  • Strong Agile team participation and documentation skills.
