Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Databricks Consultant to assist with a critical data migration and modernization project. Our client is transitioning to Databricks and requires a skilled consultant to help convert existing reports, troubleshoot any issues post-migration, and assist with documenting business requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in setting up and shaping their Databricks environment, with a focus on the migration effort.
Responsibilities:
- Migrate existing reports to Databricks, ensuring that they are successfully transferred and optimized within the new platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the migrated reports and data flows within Databricks.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, ensuring that the reporting needs are met post-migration.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure a smooth transition to Databricks, providing expertise on best practices for the platform.
- Assist with the overall setup of Databricks within the organization, laying the foundation for future projects.
- Provide guidance on any technical issues encountered during the migration process.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, reports, and any changes made to the platform.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with Databricks, including report migration and data modernization.
- Strong experience with PowerBI for creating and managing reports.
- Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and query optimization.
- Proven documentation skills for creating clear and thorough technical and business requirement documents.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience within the banking or financial services industry is highly desirable.
