Role Overview
This position supports the Air Force Civil Engineer Center's (AFCEC) Asset Management Framework. The role is critical to the development, analysis, and oversight of portfolio activities used to sustain and modernize infrastructure across United States Air Force and Space Force installations. The successful candidate will support Sub-AMP Managers by enhancing asset visibility and enabling data-driven decision-making to maintain mission-ready facilities and reduce infrastructure risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support one of the following Sub-AMP portfolios: Facilities, Utilities, or Transportation, Networks and Pavements.
- Perform detailed reviews of repair project programming documents (e.g., DD Form 1391) to ensure compliance with portfolio objectives.
- Advise installations on project development processes and compliance with Air Force Instructions (AFI) and Uniformed Facilities Criteria (UFC).
- Analyze built infrastructure data, assess asset performance predictions from the Sustainment Management System (SMS), and validate data to support requirement identification.
- Review repair project planning actions submitted through the Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP) for compliance with programming policy and asset management principles.
- Assist installations with conducting gap analyses and infrastructure assessments to validate project requirements.
- Develop multi-year project portfolios aligned with Air Force guidance and funding strategies.
- Produce advisory ROM and parametric cost estimates using Air Force-approved tools.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and tracking tools to improve transparency in decision-making.
- Provide administrative and technical support to prepare information briefs or correspondence.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a background in Engineering or Construction. Experience supporting DoD installations, AFCEC, AFIMSC, MAJCOM, or similar public-sector infrastructure programs is needed.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Familiarity with Sustainment Management System (SMS) BUILDER and the Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP) is important.
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with any ERP system, Power BI, Salesforce, or other inventory control and asset management systems.
- Background in Air Force Civil Engineering and familiarity with project programming.
- Experience with the Air Force mission and structure.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary for this position is $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually. A competitive benefits package is offered, which may include paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, short and long-term disability, company-paid life insurance, a 401(k) with a company match, and tuition reimbursement. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this role.
