Northrop Grumman's Chief Information Office is seeking a Software Development Analyst. This position can be performed as a virtual telecommuter.
The selected candidate will be responsible for research, design, development, and/or modification of enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. He/she will be Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
Responsibilities include:
Salary Range: $77,200 USD - $115,800 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain system solutions in various platforms including SQL Server, SharePoint, and custom proprietary software products
- Support existing interfaces and create new interfaces as required
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality and organization
- Provide technical troubleshooting for both custom and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems
- Write SQL code for troubleshooting and data analysis
- Work with IT management to provide schedules for software deliverables
- Provide support to the user base, and backup to co-workers
- Four year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology/Information Systems or relevant discipline. (Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
- Demonstrated proficiency in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- Proven experience with SQL and PL/SQL
- Familiarity with the .NET framework
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Capability to lead a team from conception to implementation of a custom solution
- Understand how to troubleshoot system and interface problems
- Knowledgeable in business systems and ability to create processes for end users
