We are seeking a Technology Risk Relationship Manager to join Zions Bancorporation. In this impactful role, you will provide risk management support, guidance, and enablement to assigned Lines of Business within the Enterprise Technology and Operations organizations. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will help embed risk management practices into day-to-day operations, ensuring proactive risk identification and effective remediation strategies. Your expertise will help drive a strong risk culture, support cross-functional issue resolution, and enable the business to proactively address emerging threats. Responsibilities
  • Serve as a first-line risk advisor, building relationships across the Bank and enabling technology teams to identify, assess, and mitigate IT and cyber risks.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and risk management teams, ensuring transparency and clear communication on security initiatives and risks
  • Partner with business leaders to identify risk impacts, shape remediation strategies, track progress, and escalate issues as needed
  • Drive adherence to IT risk management frameworks, policies, and standards through education and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze risk trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats; recommend proactive measures.
  • Support risk governance activities, including reporting on KRIs, KPIs, and risk metrics to senior management.
  • Facilitate cross-functional issue resolution and support audits, regulatory exams, and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of risk processes and tools.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in IT Risk Management, Technology Governance, IT Audit, or related technical roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, business, or a related field (required)
  • Understanding of IT control frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT) and banking regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to assess control environments and promote adherence to IT policies and standards.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable guidance.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with risk metrics, reporting, and governance documentation.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead risk-related initiatives and train staff.

This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047
