Project Engineer/Level 3 Engineer

As a Maine-based Managed Services Provider, our client specializes in delivering comprehensive IT solutions to businesses of all sizes. Their mission is to build lasting client relationships and provide exceptional support. Their team of skilled technicians are the ones who make it possible to deliver quality support every day.

They are looking for a Project Engineer/Level 3 Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity if you enjoy working independently, and with others, have solid customer service experience, and can turn complex technical concepts into user-friendly solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Work with clients to understand their IT needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Cloud Services: Lead cloud migrations to platforms like Azure, design secure cloud architectures, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Network & Infrastructure: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware/software while ensuring peak performance and reliability.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, meeting deadlines and managing budgets effectively.
  • Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior engineers, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in Microsoft Azure (migrations, administration, cost management).
    • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
    • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud migrations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal communication to explain technical details to clients.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Proactive and detail-oriented project management.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
    • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
    • ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in IT support, including 2+ years in project engineering or Mid-Senior Level roles.
    • Proven experience in client-facing roles.
    • Bachelor s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience.
