Job Title: Hardware Engineer (Embedded Systems / Electronics Design)
Location: Hartford, WI, 53027 (Onsite from Day-1)
Contract: 6+ Months

Note: Mixed signal design, High Speed Design, EMI/EMC, functional safety, environmental standards, schematic capture, PCB layout, SI and DI.

Experience and/or Training
5-10 years of experience in hardware engineering, preferably within the automotive or off-highway electronics industry.
Strong foundation in embedded systems hardware design with hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, microprocessors/microcontrollers (MPU/MCU), and wired/wireless communication technologies (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, etc.).
Proficient in reading, interpreting, and evaluating electronic component datasheets for design selection and validation. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues, with a track record of delivering effective and timely solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions using data-driven approaches.
Experience translating customer needs into clear, actionable, and testable engineering requirements while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Self-driven and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments with evolving project needs.
Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate within and influence cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and business functions.

Technology/Equipment:
Proficient with hardware design tools including schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit simulation.
Ability to set up and utilize common test equipment (e.g. power supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Proficient with using revision control software.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and/or Training:
Basic domain knowledge in vehicle controls or similar field.
Familiarity with new product development processes and working in a matrix organization.
Familiarity with IEC, ISO, SAE, and/or MIL-STD product compliance standards.
Exposure to software design, development, and support of existing codebases.

Technology/Equipment:
Familiarity with OrCAD/Cadence design tools (CIS Schematic Capture, Allegro / PCB Editor, PSPICE).

Education:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
