Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the AI for Operations (AI-Ops) Development Team within OCI's Network Availability organization.
This team builds the AI, analytics, and automation systems that power OCI's self-healing cloud - integrating advanced ML models, telemetry pipelines, and intelligent remediation engines to transform network and service operations.
The ideal leader will have deep experience in hyperscale cloud or large-scale networking environments, managing both software development and AI/ML integration teams, and a track record of driving operational excellence through intelligent automation.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,600 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Build and guide a team of senior software engineers and applied ML developers building the next-generation AI-driven operations platform for OCI.
- Partner with Network Engineering, NRE, GNOC, and Data Platform teams to deliver systems for anomaly detection, RCA prediction, event correlation, and predictive capacity management.
- Develop and deploy AI-powered analytics and automation systems that operate across OCI's global network fabric, supporting millions of devices, multi-region interconnects, and high-performance compute (HPC/AI/GPU) environments.
- Integrate ML and LLM-based models into OCI's telemetry, monitoring, and remediation pipelines to enable proactive fault detection and self-healing network behavior.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Network Development, Observability, and Platform Services to embed AI-Ops capabilities into the core of OCI's infrastructure.
- Define and track key metrics - automation coverage, MTTR, RCA accuracy, prediction precision - to quantify reliability gains and operational impact.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent. Build an inclusive, high-velocity culture focused on innovation, learning, and measurable outcomes.
- 6+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or cloud software development, including 3+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.
- Proven experience building or operating systems within a hyperscaler network environment (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar).
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud networking, data center fabrics, and distributed systems at scale - including routing, telemetry, traffic engineering, and capacity optimization.
- Strong background in AI/ML-driven automation, AIOps, or predictive analytics for infrastructure operations.
- Hands-on understanding of HPC, GPU networking, and high-bandwidth interconnect architectures.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java, and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn) and AI integration APIs (LangChain, Bedrock, OpenAI).
- Experience deploying and scaling data and telemetry pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Spark, OCI Streaming) to support real-time decision systems.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across engineering, product, and operations organizations to deliver measurable reliability and efficiency gains.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
