Description
The QA Automation Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions by developing and executing automated test plans. They should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and hands-on experience with tools such as Cucumber, Cypress, Gherkin, and Selenium to streamline and scale testing processes. They are expected to contribute to DevOps practices, using tools like Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, and JIRA to manage test pipelines, track issues, and collaborate with development teams. Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts is also valuable. The QA Automation Tester works closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and ensure test coverage aligns with business goals. They are effective communicators who can clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. They are also responsible for supporting and troubleshooting automated test solutions, proactively identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring the stability and performance of test frameworks within complex, distributed systems. A solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies is important, as is the ability to translate user stories and requirements into measurable test artifacts such as test plans, test cases, and scripts. The QA Automation Tester may also mentor junior team members and promote best practices in test automation, code quality, and continuous integration.

Proficient in using code repositories like SVN and GitHub for version control and collaboration. Strong experience with CI/CD practices, including automation, continuous feedback, and quality signal integration. Understanding of secure coding practices as they relate to testing and validation. Skilled in software analysis, test design, and problem resolution within QA workflows. Understanding of web application architecture to support end-to-end testing. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies to align testing efforts with development cycles. Knowledge of cloud platforms and how they impact test environments and automation strategies. Understanding of multi-platform environments (Mac, Linux, Windows) for cross-platform testing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $98000.00/yr.

Colleagues are eligible for a holiday bonus of 2.5 percent of their annual salary.
401(k) with 100 percent Company match on the first 6 percent of Colleague contribution the first five years of service. The Company matches up to 8 percent when you contribute at least 10 percent after five years.
