    Are you a Backend Software Engineer looking for a new challenge in the exciting world of Internet-of-Things? Look no further! Our client is a Y-Combinator alumni with an experienced engineering team comprising veterans from companies such as Oculus, Fitbit, and Pebble. They develop an "observability platform" that deploys Over-The-Air firmware updates, remotely debugs, and continuously monitors million-plus-device systems. Their cloud-based analytics tools can predict issues well ahead of time.

    Due to their recent success in securing $24M in Series B funding, the company is looking to grow their engineering team and is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help design and scale their platform from the metal to the cloud. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary, bonus, equity, benefits, and PTO, as well as remote flexibility.

    Required Skills & Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in Backend Software Engineering.
    • Strong proficiency in one or more Backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
    • Experience with designing, implementing, and scaling cloud-based platforms and services.
    • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
    • Familiarity with deploying and operating on public clouds such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.

    Desired Skills & Experience
    • Experience with Internet-of-Things and embedded systems.
    • Familiarity with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
    • Experience with message broker systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
