Experienced Ostari IT Helpdesk Engineer
The candidate selected for this high-visibility, customer-facing position will be primarily responsible for onsite IT Helpdesk support for a premier biotech organization in the Sorrento Valley. They will have a broad range of hands-on support experience in high touch, fast-paced environments. They will have excellent communication skills, and a strong, polished troubleshooting background.
The ideal candidate:
Must be a US citizen with a current driver s license, a reliable vehicle available for daily commute, and proof of vehicle insurance.
Shall have a minimum of 2 years applied experience with a Managed Service Provider, IT Helpdesk, or similar hands-on support role.
Shall be able to independently diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
Shall be able to create and maintain clear and detailed knowledgebase articles.
Shall log all work details in an online issue tracking system daily.
Technical Qualifications:
Must have demonstrated experience installing, uninstalling, troubleshooting Operating System, application software and peripherals on Windows 10/11 workstations, servers, and lab instruments.
Must have direct experience using Autotask PSA/Datto RMM or similar CRM tools.
Must be proficient in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and NPS.
Must be familiar with network protocols and devices, such as TCP/IP, VPN, router, and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding and demonstrated administrative experience in an Azure AD/Entra ID hybrid environment, including file shares, storage, application management, and security.
Skilled in Microsoft 365 deployment and management, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and OneDrive.
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, batch, etc.) and command-line tools.
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
Experience with Palo Alto PANOS traffic logs, security rules, and firewall tools.
Experience with vulnerability management tools; can address and remediate security incidents promptly.
Work Hours: M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM, occasional projects outside of normal work hours.
