The Computer Operator will join the Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) team, composed of Clemson University IT professionals and experienced consultants. The team values productivity, flexibility, and the ability to perform effectively in environments where ambiguity is common. Team members are expected to be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision, and collaborate closely to achieve shared goals that positively impact the State of South Carolina.

Reason for Position Opening
This is a new position created to shift administrative and operational tasks away from IT consultants so they may focus on higher-priority initiatives.
Project Scope
The role supports federally mandated changes to South Carolina s Medicaid systems. Responsibilities include:
Performing monthly billing extractions from SolarWinds, Excel, and related sources.
Transforming, preparing, and automating billing data processes.
Maintaining and updating the MITS Executive Dashboard.
Providing Tier 1 support for the BMC FootPrints ticketing system.
Assisting with asset management, documentation updates, and process standardization.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities
The Computer Operator will:
Gather infrastructure and operational data for monthly billing.
Update, maintain, and format Excel spreadsheets for the MITS Billing Department.
Manage and support the MITS interactive executive dashboard (Power BI).
Perform asset management tasks as assigned.
Document processes and collaborate with the technical writer to ensure accurate, complete procedural documentation.
Serve as Tier 1 backup support for the FootPrints administrator.
Assist with changes to FootPrints forms, workspaces, and development of user FAQs.
Communicate professionally and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Collaborate closely with Clemson staff and contracted team members.
