Title: Senior Application Programmer
Location: Primarily Remote (CONUS), with possible onsite work in Louisiana
Term: 12 Months (with potential extensions)
Hours: Must work within core hours (7:00 AM 6:00 PM CT); may require occasional nights, weekends, or holidays
Job Description
The Senior Application Programmer will support the development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of enterprise applications, Power Platform solutions, APIs, reporting systems, and supporting infrastructure. The role requires hands-on development expertise along with technical leadership, close collaboration with stakeholders, and adherence to security and compliance standards. Responsibilities include building scalable solutions, guiding architectural decisions, and supporting deployment and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
< data-start="982" data-end="1024">Application Development & Support</>Develop, configure, and maintain:
Microsoft Power Platform (Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, PCF Controls, Power Automate)
.NET and ASP.NET Core applications
Power BI dashboards and reports (including public-facing implementations)
SharePoint-based applications
Build UI components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
Develop and maintain SQL Server components including:
T-SQL queries
Stored procedures
SSIS packages
SSRS reports
Assist with application infrastructure setup (databases, servers, services).
Implement integrations with enterprise architecture services, APIs, and identity/authentication systems.
Lead application deployment activities and ensure alignment with SLAs.
Design failover strategies and build logging, auditing, and validation mechanisms into applications.
Conduct requirement sessions with business and technical subject matter experts.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions and testing activities.
Produce documentation, design artifacts, and development deliverables.
Collaborate with teams on architecture, DevOps, and configuration management (Azure DevOps, Git, pipelines).
Ensure solutions comply with:
Security and data confidentiality requirements (including HIPAA)
Architecture standards
SDLC, testing, and deployment processes
Produce maintainable, well-documented code.
Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills & Experience

Power Platform (Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, PCF Controls, Power Automate, Power BI)
5+ years in any combination of:
C#
ASP.NET Core
JavaScript
HTML/CSS
Entity Framework
Power BI dashboards (including public-facing implementations)
Visual Studio & Azure DevOps (source control and pipelines)
SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting public sector or state-level programs
End-to-end client engagement leadership
Team leadership capabilities
Agile/Scrum familiarity
Relevant Microsoft certifications such as:
Power Platform Developer Associate
Power Platform App Maker
Dynamics 365 Fundamentals
Dynamics CRM certifications
Work Expectations
Work within defined core hours with flexibility for urgent deadlines.
Remote work allowed from approved locations unless otherwise required.
Must use contractor-provided devices that meet security standards.
Responsible for managing billable hours to remain within approved Task Order limits.
