JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that move data from various sources to our data warehouse. You will work with a team of data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, transform complex datasets, and support our business intelligence efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience with ETL tools, data integration, and SQL, and will be passionate about building efficient and scalable data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with VRS business unit personnel, and other stakeholders to extract data from legacy systems and transform it into a format compatible with Workday HCM.
  • Define and document the mapping of data fields between legacy systems and Workday's data structures.
  • Ensure the transformed data that is ready to be loaded into Workday is accurate, complete, and adheres to data quality standards through various validation techniques.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • Work closely with the data team to ensure data integrity, quality, and availability.
  • Monitor ETL pipelines for performance and troubleshoot any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Optimize data processing workflows to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Document ETL processes and maintain best practices for data integration.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues that arise during the conversion process.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data mapping, transformation rules, and validation procedures.
