Position Overview

SAP PS & IM (Project System and Investment Management) Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse project management and investment planning requirements and translate them into SAP PS and IM solutions.
• Design and configure SAP PS and IM modules, including project structures, project planning, cost planning, resource management, investment planning, and budgeting.
• Customize and enhance SAP PS and IM functionalities to meet specific business needs, utilizing tools such as SAP S/4HANA Project System (PS) and Investment Management (IM) or SAP ECC.
• Perform system configuration and master data setup in SAP PS and IM modules to enable accurate project management, budget control, and investment planning.
• Define and implement project structures, work breakdown structures (WBS), networks, and activity-based costing within the SAP PS system.
• Conduct integration testing of SAP PS and IM with other SAP modules, such as Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), or Materials Management (MM), to ensure seamless data flow and process integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ABAP developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders, to support end-to-end SAP PS and IM implementations and enhancements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior SAP PS and IM consultants, including mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Perform data migration and conversion activities, ensuring the accurate transfer of project management and investment-related data from legacy systems to SAP PS and IM.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP PS and IM implementation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of project management and investment planning processes, including project structures, planning, cost management, resource management, and budgeting.
• Proficient in SAP PS and IM configuration, including project profiles, project hierarchies, investment programs, and budget profiles.
• Experience in designing and implementing project management and investment planning reporting structures and analytics within SAP PS and IM.
• Knowledge of integration between SAP PS and IM and other SAP modules, such as FI, CO, or MM.
• Familiarity with project portfolio management concepts and tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse complex project management and investment planning requirements and translate them into SAP PS and IM solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• SAP PS certification is preferred.
