Job Summary:
Lockheed Martin is looking for driven and curious CyberQuest High School Interns to be part of an engaging and dynamic experience. In this role, you'll immerse yourself in real-world challenges, develop technical skills, and gain exposure to the strategies used to safeguard digital environments. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that strengthen cyber resilience while exploring the latest advancements in the field. This internship provides a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity and discover the many ways it shapes the future of technology.

Responsibilities may include:
Learn and apply cybersecurity principles, including threat detection and risk assessment
Enhance cybersecurity by documenting findings and identifying potential vulnerabilities
Participate in training sessions to develop skills in cybersecurity
Collaborate with the IT team to improve security awareness and best practices

Basic Qualifications

Currently enrolled in high school
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Participation in the 2025 CyberQuest competition
Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems, or cybersecurity concepts
Eagerness to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field

Desired skills

- Possess interest in pursuing undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related discipline
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, virtual, and team-based environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, teamwork, energy and flexibility

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $31,512 - $48,214. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
