Job Title: ServiceNow Backend Developer
Job Type: Long Term Contract
Location: Santa Clara, CA (3 days onsite in week)
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Backend Developer with strong expertise in building, configuring, and optimizing backend components within the ServiceNow platform. The role involves developing server-side scripts, integrations, workflows, and automation solutions to support enterprise service management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop server-side scripting using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Build and maintain Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server) with external systems.
  • Develop Flows, Workflows, ACLs, and Data policies to support business requirements.
  • Customize and configure modules across ITSM/ITOM/CMDB/ITAM as needed.
  • Optimize platform performance, troubleshoot backend issues, and support platform upgrades.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Required Skills:
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow backend development and Glide scripting.
  • Expertise in Integration Hub, web services, encryption, and API security.
  • Good understanding of ServiceNow data models, CMDB, discovery, and automation.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow best practices, platform architecture, and governance.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow UI Builder/Seismic (for modern development).
  • Certifications: CSA, CAD, ITSM, or related domain certifications.
