Project Manager--LOCAL TO RICHMOND, VA ONLY

Job responsibilities:

• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close projects as assigned and in accordance with state/federal regulations and industry s best practices.
• Propose innovative solutions and business process improvements, manage project risks and issues, work independently within the PMO structure, and curate project organizational process assets and reports.
• The incumbent will also provide counsel and advice to the PMO Director on all operational issues within PMO including, but not limited to staffing, contracts, meetings, and process improvements. The position will ensure streamlined activities within PMO based on the priorities of the Director and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) including ensuring project deadlines are met and technical/operational issues are elevated and resolved when necessary.

Required skills and experience

• PMP Certification required
• 10 years of experience with Agile, Waterfall soft development concepts, SDLC, successfully leading project teams through implementations, and including at least one successfully led project of $1M or higher.
• MITA Architecture (desired)
• Vendor management and contract oversight (desired)
• Working knowledge of Advance Planning Document (APD) process for obtaining federal grants from CMS (desired)
• Knowledge of/experience with MS Project, including creating, managing, analyzing, and reporting on integrated project schedules (desired)
• Working knowledge of or experience with Medicaid and/or other health claims processing systems (desired)
• Health information exchanges and system interoperability (desired)

Experience:

• Agile/Waterfall: 10 years (Required)

• Leading projects over $1M or higher: 1 year (Required)
• Vendor management: 5 years (Preferred)
• Microsoft Project: 10 years (Preferred)
