Job Title: Ab Initio Developer Location: Wilmington, DE Type: Long-term Contract
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio Developer to join our data engineering team on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL development, data integration, and data transformation using Ab Initio, along with solid experience in database technologies and scripting. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing data workflows to support business intelligence, analytics, and data governance requirements. This role requires a collaborative, solution-focused professional who can work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
ETL Development: Design, build, and deploy complex ETL processes using Ab Initio to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
Data Integration: Develop data workflows to integrate data from various sources, supporting the organization s analytics, reporting, and data governance needs.
Optimization and Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues in ETL workflows to improve efficiency and reliability; optimize existing processes for performance gains.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement data processing solutions aligned with business objectives.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain clear documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications, adhering to data governance and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years in ETL development with expertise in Ab Initio.
Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
Scripting: Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting; knowledge of Python is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL processes.
Preferred: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and experience in data warehousing or big data environments is a plus.
