This position will support NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Engineering Directorate's Aeroscience Division in a subsystem engineer capacity across various Human Spaceflight Programs.

What You'll Be Doing
- This individual will serve as a technical specialist in Command and Data Handling (C&DH) across various human spaceflight systems, with a focus on commercial systems.
- Manage customer lab facilities including strategic planning, budget management and planning, task assignments, and reporting.
- Assist Gateway C&DH L2 System Manager in evolution of organization to support the various modules as they mature in Gateway
- Participate as the specialist lead in addressing any issues and risks associated with C&DH
- Support problem resolution for several NASA Programs (Artemis, Orion, CCP, Gateway, ISS)
- Apply program management processes and products
- Ability to engage on trade studies and analysis
- Coordinate requirements and technical objectives with subject matter experts and collaborators
- Prepare and present decision packages and change requests for program forums
- Perform other duties for the customer as required
What You Need to Be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree or advanced degree in technical subject area
- 12 or more years of professional engineering experience
- Knowledge and understanding of NASA programs
- Ability to effectively use oral and written communication to express technical concepts
- Experience working across diverse teams and many different engineering subject areas
- Experience with space flight certification processes to ensure performance and safety requirements are met

- Experience in C&DH matters associated with human spaceflight
- Knowledge of NASA systems
- Experience performing in or leading technical and programmatic tasks for NASA
