The Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) is a senior-level leader responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards and practices across the organization.
This role involves strategic oversight of all security projects and programs, providing guidance to project teams, ensuring resource optimization, and aligning initiatives with company objectives.
The Director of the PMO is a critical player in advancing the company s security strategy, often working closely with executive leadership. This position should expect as much as 50% travel.
Responsibilities, skills and experience should include:
- Lead the PMO, overseeing all security project and program management activities across the organization.
- Develop and enforce PMO standards, policies, and best practices to ensure efficient, high-quality project delivery.
- Drive strategic initiatives by aligning project and program objectives with organizational goals.
- Allocate resources, oversee budgets, and manage program risks at an enterprise level.
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering professional growth and project excellence.
- Serve as a key point of contact for executive leadership, providing insights into program performance and strategic recommendations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing complex, enterprise-level security projects.
- Advanced understanding of project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Six Sigma).
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
