PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking two (2) Business Systems Analysts for a hybrid position in Long Island City, NY starting in March 2026. This position supports a large-scale modernization initiative aimed at transforming transportation operations through business process reengineering and system modernization. The Business Analyst will partner with stakeholders across multiple business units to analyze requirements, document workflows, enhance system processes, and ensure successful implementation of new solutions. This role demands strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills to support ongoing process improvements and technology adoption.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years experience as a Business Analyst supporting process improvement, technology implementation, or modernization projects.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft applications, including Visio and/or Lucidchart.
  • Exceptional proficiency in documentation and communication with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and communicate system requirements, maintaining consistent documentation and monthly reporting.
  • Experience developing analyses and documentation collaboratively with production, managerial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct daily systems analytics to maximize operational efficiency and troubleshoot issues.
  • Demonstrated success building meaningful and lasting relationships for optimized systems integration and support.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  • Partner with stakeholders across business units to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative and efficient manner.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate system requirements on a continuing basis, maintaining system processes and preparing monthly status reports.
  • Author and update internal and external documentation, ensuring clear and timely communication of requirements and deliverables.
  • Conduct systems analysis to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and troubleshoot technical and functional issues.
  • Support process and system enhancements that align with organizational goals and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop strong working relationships with partners, responding to management inquiries and providing research-based recommendations.
