Northrop Grumman's Business Systems organization is seeking a Principal Level Software Development Analyst who is a subject matter expert on a wide variety of areas/topics inside the SAP ECC S/4 system, specifically in the areas of HR, Payroll, Timekeeping, and Labor Accounting.
This role can be based anywhere remotely in the U.S.
As part of the SAP Business Systems Analysts team, this team member will work with business resources and development teams throughout the complete project life cycle. Responsibilities will include defining business processes, driving the analysis of business requests to identify the best solution from an SAP perspective, configuring the SAP application, providing guidance on functional specifications, and providing SAP support activities.

Salary Range: $95,100 USD - $142,700 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, document, test, and implement software enhancements, integrations, and fixes using SAP ABAP and UI5 (JavaScripting), CDS View, jQuery, or REST APIs (Gateway).
- Understanding of one or more modules of SAP and SAP's portfolio of products
- Actively participate in the full software development cycle (requirements, design, development, testing and implementation).
- Follow development standards and create and maintain technical design specifications.
- Provide technical input to support project planning and estimation process.
- Collaborate with other team members and business partners to drive process and system improvements and provide technical advice and guidance to functional partners.
- Proactively provide work status.
- Bachelor's degree STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and at least 4 years of applicable experience (Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
- 3 or more years of direct hands-on experience in performing systems and application administration in applications similar to S4/HANA - with competency to quickly grasp ABAP, Object Oriented ABAP, and S4/HANA with training.
- Must have the ability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed
- Candidate must be proficient in troubleshooting and solving development and integration problems in a production environment.
- Demonstrated soft skills required for the presentation of ideas and concepts to stakeholders such as vendors, end users and senior management.
- Strong technical/analytical skills and provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
- Experience or understanding of integration technologies.
- Capable of performing code reviews with peers and be able to recognize efficient and effective programming techniques that enable the developer to correct coding problems.
- Experience using the scaled agile framework (SAFe) methodology.
- Attention to detail and be able to successfully manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
