Summary of Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer works as part of our agile development team and is responsible for the design and implementation of user facing full stack applications and services for our Claims department. We are looking for a flexible technical leader who can fluently move between many different technologies including front end frameworks such as React, and cloud-based services such as Microsoft Azure API Management, App Services, and Service Bus.
The Senior Software Engineer is a key member of our development team who works in all aspects of the software lifecycle from Architecture and Design, Requirements Gathering and Analysis, and Implementation. Candidates should enjoy producing clean, maintainable, reliable, and observable code. Candidates will contribute to the ongoing improvement of the development process and continuous reduction of technical debt. Candidates should consider themselves to be high-level specialists who excel at solving complex issues and problems and should be skilled at adapting to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Experience and Skills
- Proficiency writing C#
- Proficiency writing unit and integration tests
- Proficiency with XML, XSLT, and JSON
- Experience with cloud native back-end development
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and debugging skills
- Working in an agile or Scrum environment
- Effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical roles
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment is a plus
- Experience with ReactJS framework is a plus
Preferred Education and Training
Preferred Education and Training:
- 8+ years of experience in IT engineering
- Computer science or related degree
