On of our clients is looking for the position of Data/Information Architect Advanced based on following skills:

Why is this position open: The SC DMV has begun a system data modernization project. The team is looking for strong Data Modeling experience - This role will focus on Data Modeling using ERWIN or a similar tool and Reverse Engineering and requires at least 3 years of experience. DBA experience is a plus but not the main focus of the role.
Duration of the Contract: 12 Months
Possibility for Extension: Yes
Work Location: 100% On-site in Blythewood SC, Monday - Friday
Candidate Location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
This role will be responsible for using data modeling tools on ORACLE and MS SQL databases: Current state assessment report of existing ERwin models. New or updated logical and physical data models in ERwin format (.erwin files). Data dictionaries and model documentation. Version-controlled repository of data models. Identify data integrity and consistency issues. Identify and aid with duplicate data resolution. Provide reporting and recommendations to address these issues. Weekly progress reports. Final summary report at project closeout. This position will also supplement our current sql dba force with production support activities such as adhoc daily tickets, version updates, security updates, etc. and may require working beyond normal business hours. Candidate will be working in a team environment consisting of 6 database engineers and administrators and working directly with application architect, application developers, business analysts, and server support team. | |
Daily Duties / Responsibilities: Create and update data models and documentation using ERWIN Performing reverse and forward engineering of database structures. Providing best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and documentation. Designing, developing, and maintaining logical and physical data models using ERwin Data Modeler. Ensuring database designs support scalability, integrity, and performance requirements. Identify data integrity and consistency issues. Provide reporting and recommendations to address the issues. Identify and aid with duplicate data resolution. Collaborating with data architects, DBAs, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into data models. Managing version control of data models and maintaining model repositories. Supporting data governance and compliance initiatives through effective data modeling strategies. Same modeling activities may be required for MS SQL databases. ORACLE and MS SQL production support activities as needed and directed by the DBA manager. | |
Required Skills (rank in order of Importance): 3 YEARS PROFESSIONAL DATA MODELING with ERWIN Data or similar data modeling tool ORACLE 19 DBA and/or SQL SERVER 2019, 2022 | Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance): SQL Server dba certification DD Boost to support backup and restore operations for oracle database ORACLE GRID CONTROL ORACLE ASM |
Required Education: High School Diploma | Preferred Certifications: Oracle Certified Associate or other Oracle certification |
