Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and talented Operational Controls Analyst with strong organizational and critical problem-solving skills to join our Operational Controls department. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the bank by evaluating the effectiveness of operational controls, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and collaborating with various teams to design and implement corrective actions. This role also involves monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and supporting regulatory exams and audit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the effectiveness of operational controls within the First Line of Defense and the broader Operational Risk Management framework.
• Conduct control testing, identify deficiencies, and collaborate with originations, operations, and servicing teams to design and implement corrective actions.
• Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support regulatory exams and audit inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (not mandatory).
• 2 to 5 years of experience in banking operations, internal audit, or risk management within the financial services or banking industry.
• Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and project management skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to challenge and influence others, build trusted relationships, and deal constructively with conflict.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Added Bonus:

• Strong understanding of banking regulations and control frameworks.
• Familiarity with banking or financial services products, including commercial lending, auto finance, deposit operations, and mortgage lending.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Lucid Chart/Visio.
• Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, & Compliance) tools (e.g., Archer, LogicManager, ServiceNow, Riskonnect, etc.).

Pay Range: $30 - $36

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
