- Lead Technician: 5+ years of lead or management experience
- Level 4 Technician: 3-5+ years of dedicated data center experience
- Level 3 Technician: 1-3+ years of data center experience
Job Overview
We are seeking highly skilled Data Center Technicians to join our IT team. You will be responsible for GPU deployments, server and network troubleshooting, cabling, and ticket management (ITSM). The role involves working with large-scale GPU deployments inside an enterprise data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform break-fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network, and cabling
- Deploy and configure GPUs in servers
- Rack and stack equipment, including fully populated GPU/network racks
- Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures
- Interpret BOMs and ensure all materials are accounted for
- Assist network admins with cabling and hardware troubleshooting
- Manage tickets using ITSM tools
- Lead and manage teams effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety and data center standards
- Provide documentation and daily updates using MS Office and tracking tools
Requirements
- 3-10+ years of deployment and/or break-fix experience in a data center
- Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM/MM/MPO)
- Experience with optical modules (SFP, QSFP) and fiber cleaning
- Proven experience in racking, stacking, and patching fiber/copper cables
- Leadership experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Willingness to travel as required
- Familiarity with DC power and enterprise-level telecom engineering designs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
