Senior Business Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI 48933

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday/Wednesday)

Job Type: Contract (With potential for full-time conversion)

We are seeking a Business Analyst 3 to join a dynamic project team in Lansing. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution. You will be responsible for gathering clear, testable requirements and facilitating the project lifecycle within an Agile environment.

Beyond traditional BA duties, you will serve as a Scrum Master, leveraging Azure DevOps to manage project backlogs and ensure seamless communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Requirement Management: Facilitate gathering sessions to document "As-Is" and "To-Be" business processes. Ensure requirements are clear, unambiguous, and satisfy DTMB and MDOS standards.

• Agile Leadership: Serve as Scrum Master, managing the project backlog, creating epics/features/user stories, and moving tasks through the project lifecycle.

• Strategic Analysis: Conduct Build vs. Buy analysis and develop product roadmaps to guide long-term system functionality.

• Project Artifacts: Partner with the PMO to complete System Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables and maintain alignment with the project schedule.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with UI/UX architects, DBAs, developers, and QA testers to ensure the technical solution matches the business vision.

All experience must be within the last 5 years.

• Business Analysis: 3+ years of professional experience in requirement gathering and process modeling.

• Agile/Scrum Tools: 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (or similar tools like JIRA) including managing cards and backlogs.

• Process Design: 3+ years of experience with "As-Is/To-Be" content creation and using tools like Visio or FIGMA.

• Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the interplay between BA, QA, and Dev roles.

• Strategy: 3+ years of experience creating product roadmaps and participating in high-level information governance.
