Tech Valley Talent (TVT) is a Florida governmental prime vendor, and we have an opening for a Data Architect.
DURATION: 3 years
LOCATION: Onsite; Tallahassee, Florida
The successful candidate will be a technical resource that has expertise that is results-oriented critical thinking to meet complex challenges and develop new strategies for acquiring, analyzing, modeling, and storing data.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
Day to Day Tasks
- Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
- Collaborate with IT teams and management to devise a data strategy that addresses industry requirements.
- Build an inventory of data needed to implement the architecture.
- Research new opportunities for data acquisition.
- Identify and evaluate current data management technologies.
- Create a fluid, end-to-end vision for how data flows through an organization.
- Develop data models for database structures.
- Design, document, construct and deploy database architectures and applications (e.g., large relational databases).
- Integrate technical functionality (e.g., scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability, etc.).
- Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Defines and plans database architectures for enterprise systems.
- Works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert.
- Works on projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
- Coaches and mentor's more junior technical staff.
