What You?ll Do

  • Perform hardware and firmware integration of next generation Tesla Industrial Energy Storage
  • Hands-on testing, debugging, and troubleshooting on product hardware and software
  • Develop test infrastructure pipeline to validate functionality on various platform such as Control HIL, HIL, SIL, etc
  • Develop and maintain automated firmware tests using Python libraries
  • Develop test automation scripts, dashboard, Jenkins job to monitor test station and execute automation action to maintain the health of the test station
  • Lead the test plan execution for firmware and software feature validation with continuous feedback for feature documentation
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues with hardware and firmware during system bring up, utility performance, and grid contingency test


What You?ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field or equivalent, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and software engineering components and an understanding of how they interact in a complex product
  • 2+ years of experience in firmware and software validation
  • Familiar with the concept of DOE (Design of Experiences) testing method, and capable to design automation to handle the large set of test cases
  • Capable of delivering high quality at least one of C, Python or Golang software solutions
  • Exceptional analytical problem solving skills, able to identify and surface issues within complex HW/SW systems
  • Effective communicator and excellent attention to detail
  • Preferred skill: Expert knowledge of at least two power system modeling and HIL tools: PSCAD/EMTP-RV, RTDS, Typhoon, OPAL-RT
  • Preferred skill: Fluent with the embedded microprocessor design process: compilers, debuggers, and Git
  • Preferred skill: Experience to work with database with common tool (SQL, InflexDB, Grafana)
  • Preferred skill: Comfortable with hands-on lab work including the use of scopes/logic analyzers, CAN tools as needed to support test validation

    • Expected Compensation

      $104,000 - $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
