Role Overview



The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization s digital assets, identifying security risks, and implementing solutions to safeguard systems, networks, and data. This role involves continuous monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor networks, systems, and security tools to detect suspicious activities or potential threats.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.

  • Respond to security incidents by investigating root causes and applying corrective measures.

  • Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.

  • Perform regular security audits and support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).

  • Configure and manage security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and identity management systems.

  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and application teams to implement secure architectures and best practices.

  • Conduct user awareness training to strengthen organizational security posture.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

  • 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security operations, or incident response.

  • Strong knowledge of network security, security protocols, and common cyberattack techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).

  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
