Position:  Network Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Full time permanent role

 

Required Skills & Experience

 

5–7 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in hybrid or multi‑site environments.

 

Strong hands‑on experience with layer 2 switching, Dell/Force10 and Cisco, including ARP, LACP, MAC address tables, Spanning Tree Protocol, etc.

 

Strong hands-on experience with layer 3 static routing

 

Strong hands-on experience with NAT and private RFC1918 networks

 

Cisco ASA firewalls

 

Remote‑access Client VPN technologies including Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco Secure Connect, AWS Client VPN, OpenVPN, and Netskope

 

Netgate pfSense firewalls

 

Experience with SD‑WAN solutions for site-to-site VPNs, preferably Meraki

 

Proficiency with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual networking

 

Deep understanding of VLANs, trunking, ACLs, and segmentation

 

Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, including VPC design, routing, and security groups

 

Familiarity with IBM Cloud

 

Enterprise UNIX/Linux networking

 

Experience with Cloudflare (SSL Certificates and DNS)

 

Strong understanding of Windows DNS/DHCP and cross‑platform name‑resolution architectures

 

Excellent documentation skills diagrams, runbooks, and change records

 

Proven ability to manage vendors, negotiate support, and coordinate escalations

 

Experience with Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 wireless deployments and troubleshooting

 

Strong physical data center skills
