Position Description:
Join a dynamic federal environment as a Senior Vulnerability Engineer, supporting enterprise vulnerability and exposure management, compliance auditing, and web application scanning across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role involves engineering, optimizing, and maintaining vulnerability management capabilities with tools like Tenable One, Nessus, and Tenable Web Application Scanning in a highly regulated setting. Candidates should be adept at supporting authenticated and non-authenticated web scans, cloud-native asset visibility, and enterprise vulnerability operations to ensure security posture and compliance.
Key responsibilities include configuring vulnerability scanners, supporting continuous attack surface visibility, troubleshooting complex operational issues, deploying compliance audits with frameworks such as NIST & FedRAMP, and integrating security platforms with enterprise systems like AWS, CyberArk, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
Ideal candidates are experienced in vulnerability management, cloud security, and enterprise cybersecurity solutions with a focus on compliance frameworks and automation.
Top Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or security operations
- Hands-on experience with Tenable One, Nessus, Tenable WAS, and AWS security environments
- Proficiency supporting web application scanning and cloud-native security tools
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks including NIST, FedRAMP, DISA STIG, and IRS Safeguards
- Experience with enterprise integrations, automation, and operational reporting
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-team coordination skills
